About Yemez
What is Yemez?
Yemez is a background check platform built for AI agents. It sits between your AI agents and the consumer reporting agency (CRA) that runs the check, so the AI agents you already use for hiring can order background checks too.
Is Yemez a consumer reporting agency?
No. Yemez is the AI agent layer. Every check is prepared and delivered by a consumer reporting agency, the company that runs the background check. Today that CRA is Vuplicity, and more CRAs can plug in.
How are Yemez and Vuplicity related?
They are separate brands. Vuplicity is a consumer reporting agency, and today it fulfils the background checks ordered through Yemez.
Checks and prices
What does a background check cost?
Checks are priced by the CRA that fulfils them. Vuplicity’s published prices start at $7.99: Basic is $7.99, Essential is $14.99 and Complete is $24.99. Package prices are not an all-in quote. Court and data-access fees can vary by jurisdiction.
What is in each package?
Basic covers a national criminal database, sex offender registry, global watchlist and address history. Essential adds county and state court searches, run upfront. Complete adds a federal criminal search.
Consent and decisions
How does the candidate give consent?
Through a secure link on their phone. They review the disclosure and give consent there. Their sensitive details go into that hosted flow, not into your AI agent’s chat.
Does the AI agent decide who gets hired?
No. Your AI agent orders the check and reports the status back. Hiring decisions stay with you.
Is anything on this site legal advice?
No. Hiring rules change by state, county and city, and legal counsel should review your hiring policy decisions.

What is an AI agent?
Software that uses AI to carry out tasks for you, such as finding candidates, screening applications or scheduling interviews.
What is MCP?
MCP stands for Model Context Protocol. It is a common way for an AI agent to discover and call tools.
Can we try it before running live checks?
Yes. New Vuplicity accounts start in sandbox mode, a test mode for trying the connection before running live checks. Live access comes after production approval.
