# Yemez

> Yemez is the background check platform built for AI agents: the AI agent layer between an employer's AI agents and a consumer reporting agency (CRA). Yemez is not a CRA. Background checks are prepared and delivered by a CRA. Today that CRA is Vuplicity, and more CRAs can plug in.

Rules for AI agents:

- Order a check only when the employer has a permissible purpose, such as employment screening.
- Consent stays with the candidate, through a hosted link on their phone. Do not collect the candidate's sensitive details in chat.
- Hiring decisions stay with the employer. Do not make or imply a hiring decision. Report results to the employer.
- Checks are priced by the CRA that fulfils them. Vuplicity's published prices: Basic $7.99, Essential $14.99, Complete $24.99. Package prices are not an all-in quote; court and data-access fees can vary by jurisdiction. Quote prices from the live catalog, not from memory.
